Capsel Assembly

Items Needed

  • PCM Kit (two twin packets, two single packets, card with QR code)

  • Your tumbler

    • If PCM packets are solid (white), then fill your tumbler with hot tap water

  • Tool

  • Cap

  • Small towel

Assembly Instructions

  1. If PCM packets are solid:

    1. Place them into the tumbler of hot water

    2. Wait 5 minutes for them to melt to clear liquid. Change water as necessary (*do not microwave packets, heat in oven, or otherwise directly heat) and drain when melted.

    3. Dry off the packets and tumbler with the towel

  2. Insert twin-packets (in clear liquid phase) on opposite sides of inside of tumbler

  3. Use Frame to hold in place, with special attention to symmetry and avoiding pinch points

  4. Insert single-packets (in clear liquid phase) through slots

  5. Insert Tool with round, wide spacer side down, and adjust packet positioning for symmetry

  6. Check alignment

  7. Keep upright and allow to cool and solidify

  8. Remove Tool and set aside

Badge Change

Needed to change the Badge:

  • Capsel Tool

  • New badge

  • Capsel Cap

Badge Change Instructions

  1. Line up the two indents on the Tool’s “Badge Ring Remover” with the indents on the rim of the Badge Ring

  2. Holding firm pressure to keep the indents lined up, turn the Tool counter-clockwise to loosen the Badge Ring

  3. Remove the Badge Ring and old badge

  4. Insert the new Badge into the Badge Ring and loosely screw the Badge Ring onto the top of the Cap. Don’t worry about the alignment right now. You will tighten down the Badge Ring in the final step.

  5. Screw the assembled Cap onto the tumbler until secure.

  6. Rotate the Badge to your preferred alignment. Hold with one hand, then use the Tool to tighten the Badge Ring until secure. Slight flex of the Badge may occur and is normal.

Cautions/Warnings

Capsel

  • Don’t use an assembled Capsel for food or drinks - Capsel is not designed for food or beverage contact. You can always remove the Capsel components and reuse your tumbler or bottle as before.

  • While Capsel is splash-resistant, it is not tested or rated for submersion

  • While Capsel provides temperature stability for medications, high temperatures should still be avoided. Capsel’s hard plastic parts may soften above 75ºC/167ºF.

Phase-Change Material Packets

  • Do not microwave, place in oven, or use other sources of direct heat. Use hot tap water to melt the PCM.

  • PCM packets contains purified paraffin wax, which is nontoxic and similar to candle wax in composition. In the rare case that a packet develops a leak, you may scrape off solid wax and wash skin with warm soapy water. Hopefully this is obvious, but the wax should not be eaten. In case of contact with eyes or mucous membranes, flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

  • In the unlikely event that you experience a leak, please contact Marimo Labs customer service for troubleshooting and replacement.

Good to Know

Cleaning

  • Clean with a damp soft cloth.
